About the production

An original pantomine by Sue and Clive Read.

Every year on midsummer's eve, the wicked Baron Blackheart chooses a fair maiden to give to the dragon to stop him from burning down the town. When Prince Geroge's beautiful Princess Hyacinth is chosen, he sets forth to slay the scaly foe with a little help from his less-than-willing sidekick, Haughtby.

Meanwhile Queen Bea and King Nodford must rally the villagers and their faithful but haphazard Fairy Muddle to help him. But is this dragon really as fearsome as he seems?

Featuring well-known songs, dances, jokes, audience participation and lots of silliness, 'George and the Dragon' is great fun for all the family.
